It's that time : End of Season SwitchUP
You know how we all have a different wardrobe for every season? Well Becky has a skincare regime for every season too. This Fall, as I put away my tank tops, short shorts and bikinis ( who am i kidding right?), I also start to switch things up in my skin and body care arsenal.
Summers for me are for looking dewy and sun kissed... I tend to have fewer break outs and dryness and general walk around with no make up and love my skin. As summer fades, I start to find that my regular products need that little bit extra help. My skin gets super dry and dehydrated, pesky little spots start to creep up on my forehead and jawline and I truly start to look as bleh as I feel. Poof goes my glow and I find very little need for myself gravitating towards products packed with hydration.
Its important to bear these seasonal effects on the skin when you're buying products, always bearing in mind you may well have to switch things up as the seasons change. This may be the reason you are so sure your dearly beloved, tried, and tested product has 'suddenly' stopped working. You dump it all together and move on to the next!!!. We've all done it. How about you try something different this time.? ..tuck it away, switch things up and come back to it in a few months ...Voila...watch it work wonders again on your skin.
So what exactly do I change? And more importantly what are the factors that around me that change, forcing me to look into my arsenal.
First of all, if i'm being honest, I drink far less water and a tonne more tea and coffee. Basically, anything packed with warmth and in most cases sugar. This has a dehydrating effect on my skin, makes it look sallow and unhappy.
Secondly, i'm less inclined to do the teensy weensy things that stack up... like that refreshing splash of cold water on my face after I've cleansed and exfoliated.
